I've studied martial arts since I was 11 years old and now I have over 30 years experience in self defense, competition fighting and martial arts conditioning. I also played various sports all through school like football, basketball, etc.


In college, I kept training but started going heavier to put some size on and get more power. After I graduated, I got married, we had a child and I laid off my training. I ballooned up to 230lbs and it wasn't good weight, Life tends to do that to us. Well, to make a long story short, I went through a divorce, fell into a funk and my health started to suffer.

So, I began training hard again. I liked it so much that I got certified and began training. I wanted to help people the way this lifestlye had helped me. I also wanted to show people that with hard work, that anything is possible. Trainers are regular people too, we go through the same ups and downs that life throws at us like everybody else. But, if you take care of your health, everything falls into place.

I'm 41 years old now and in the best shape of my life. I went through the semi-midlife crisis of realizing that I was an aging horse in the race. But, with hard work and following Patty's advice, I'm faster and stronger than most of the young bucks I compete against now. They all think that I'm ten years younger than I really am.

Hello! I am proud and excited to introduce Caroline Kabiri to you all, one of my newer additions to my staff. She has been a client of mine through her first two pregnancies. I got her physique back in pretty awesome shape in no time after her first kid, and also trained her while she was carrying her second. She is definitely an inspiration to any woman out there, who is planning to get pregnant, or who is currently pregnant, or happens to be a new mom. Ladies, I will tell you, its never too late to get your physique back. You can do it at any age! I'm living proof, as well as, Caroline.

Caroline provides specialized training and nutrition programs for all individuals who are going through fertility treatments, or planning to be pregnant but need to lose a few pounds, current moms and mommies to be. Don't worry, she also trains all other individuals who want to achieve a healthier lifestyle overall!

Personal Information about me:

I graduated from Trinity University here in San Antonio where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and a Masters degree in teaching with a concentration in special education. I taught for 4 years both in the regular and special education settings before deciding to stay at home once I had my two adorable kids, ages 2 and 7 months.

I have been into fitness for many years and am an avid marathon runner. I have been a runner for 15 years now and have run dozens of 5k and 10k races, mostly in Houston (my hometown) and San Antonio, but my passion is still the marathon. I played volleyball, basketball, lacrosse and ran cross country in high school. In college, I ran both cross country and track. Currently, my goal is to qualify for the Boston marathon, which is considered the most well-respected marathon in the United States.

During both of my pregnancies, I realized how important it was to maintain my fitness level. I became more aware of how nutrition and fitness are key components to a healthy pregnancy. Before I was pregnant with my first child, I focused mostly on running and did not put enough emphasis on strength training. After having my first child, I began incorporating strength training and circuit training into my routine, in addition to my running and it made a significant difference. I can honestly say, I was in better shape after my first baby than I had ever been before. I soon became pregnant with my second baby and now, 7 months after having my son, I am in the best shape of my life.

I enjoy training any client who is willing and motivated to reach their specific goals although I specifically enjoy working with women before, during and after pregnancy as well as individuals with special needs. I look forward to helping you meet your individual goals.
